By train: The closest station is Filton Abbeywood. The walk is less than two
miles and takes about half an hour. For details call 08457 48 49 50
or visit www.nationalrail.co.uk
By car: The best place to park is on Romney Avenue, near St James Church.
All three walks are described as starting near here.
By buggy or wheelchair: The Park features several steep and unsurfaced
paths making access difficult, but the Hermitage Walk may be accessible in
dry weather by entering from Jellicoe Avenue. Alternatively, appreciate
dramatic views across Bristol, of the Dower House and the Duchess Pond
from the linear path accessed from Parnell Road or Duchess Gate opposite
